Mission:

The Principal Data Scientist at Andros will lead the development of groundbreaking data and analytics capabilities to unlock the potential of the most valuable connection in healthcare: the patient-provider relationship. The Principal Data Scientist has the unique opportunity to drive innovation in our approach to data, data science and network performance. This role will help drive product and engineering requirements gathering for ongoing feature development that will transform and elevate our clients’ business operations.

Outcomes:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the data science strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, software, and commercial teams to ensure data science initiatives align with business needs and industry best practices & priorities.

    • Partner closely with the Product Team to analyze and recommend data sets for acquisition as needed to facilitate product growth/vision.

    • Partner with the Software Engineering Team to deploy machine learning models to production environments.

  • Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to senior leadership, clients, and other stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

Data Management and Integration:

  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of predictive models, algorithms, and analytics solutions that address key business challenges for Andros clients.

  • Implement best practices for data governance, privacy, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Apply industry knowledge to a data science context, building real-world use cases and demonstrating how data science can best solve them.

  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, testability and security of data science solutions in a healthcare context.

Research and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and healthcare technology.

  • Drive innovation by exploring and implementing emerging technologies and methodologies that can enhance the company’s data science capabilities.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in data science, with at least 5 years in a lead role, preferably within the healthcare industry

  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, SQL, and relevant data science libraries and frameworks

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Numpy / scipy / scikit / sagemaker / pytorch is a plus.

  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

  • Strong understanding of healthcare data, particularly provider network data is preferred.

  • Knowledge of geospatial data sets is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and innovatively.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale data science projects.

Salary Range:
$150,000-$200,000
