Ark's Data Systems team is hiring a software engineering intern to build out our software platform. The Data Systems team is responsible for everything from production, model-based control software to web-based data monitoring applications. In this internship, you'll get the chance to collaborate with Ark's broader team of process scientists and automation engineers, enabling their innovation through a combination of reliable software and fast-paced design iteration.

Must haves
● Proficiency in Python
● Experience building software with real users
● Eagerness and excitement for learning on the job
● Independence in problem-solving
● Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, and completing that program by summer 2025
● Available for >=12 total weeks between May and September 2024

● DevOps tools & best practices, e.g. Docker, CI/CD, integration testing, metrics/logs/monitoring
● Python web stack, e.g. FastAPI, Flask, Django
● Python dashboarding stack, e.g. Altair, Bokeh, Plotly, Streamlit, Dash
● Relational and time-series databases, e.g. PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB
● Python packaging best practices
● Javascript in the browser
