Cargado, the first invite-only load board for cross-border Mexico freight, launched in April 2024 by freight industry veterans Matt Silver and Rylan Hawkins. Cargado's product simplifies the cross-border freight experience and has helped drive the historic rise of nearshoring and growing demand for improved cross-border logistics. Over 60 logistics companies leverage Cargado to get loads booked faster with greater transparency and a trusted network of carriers. Cargado has raised nearly $10M since starting in October 2023 from investors such as Primary Venture Partners, Ironspring Ventures, Zenda Capital, Wischoff Ventures, and RyderVentures.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Project Manager to lead strategic partnerships, oversee key operational initiatives, and drive business projects that expand Cargado’s presence within the Mexican freight industry. This role will focus on building strong relationships with key carrier stakeholders in Mexico, optimizing Mexico operations, and ensuring the successful execution of business initiatives that drive growth and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, maintaining a high level of organization, prioritizing tasks effectively, and ensuring all projects meet deadlines and business expectations.
Manage and deliver high-impact initiatives, coordinating across teams to ensure timely execution and measurable success.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with trucking companies and freight brokerages, across Mexico, with a focus on strategic partnerships.
Drive platform engagement and ensure existing customers maximize the value of Cargado.
Oversee operational processes for Mexico freight movements, identifying and implementing improvements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer feedback in Mexico, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to incorporate critical insights.
Own and analyze key business operations data, using insights to improve decision-making, optimize workflows, and measure success.
Support cross-functional teams, helping product, engineering, data, and GTM teams stay aligned and achieve their goals.
Develop structured processes for tracking initiatives, ensuring visibility, accountability, and alignment across teams.
Represent Cargado at industry events and in key Mexican markets
Drive execution and oversee the performance of strategic initiatives and special projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
About You
3+ years of experience in project management, business development, partnerships, customer success, or operations, with a proven ability to build and grow relationships.
Ability to problem-solve, adapt to changing environments, and handle project challenges effectively.
Experience doing project management at a logistics company, freight brokerage, carrier, or freight tech company.
Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
Highly analytical and data-driven, with strong Excel skills and the ability to present insights effectively.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to set priorities, create structured plans, and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Entrepreneurial mindset: self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to take ownership of challenges.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Comfortable wearing many hats and jumping into projects of all sizes to drive company success.
