About the Role

We are looking for a Crown & Bridge Team Lead to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. This position will be on the 2nd shift and work the hours of 2PM - 10:30PM. The Crown & Bridge Team Lead will oversee the workflows, equipment, team members, and quality for posterior fixed restorations. In this role, you will support a team of 10+ technicians in a state of the art and digital-only facility. You will be responsible for ensuring that orders are fabricated at the highest quality standards per customer deadlines.

What You'll Do

  • Operate Quickly: Support your team in finishing full contour fixed posterior restorations (e.g., crown, bridge), to fabricate high-grade dental products in a fast-paced environment

  • Scale: Continuously seek opportunities to improve workflows and processes for optimal efficiency and scalability

  • Data-Driven Optimization: Track key performance indicators and conduct root cause analysis to optimize resources and drive on-time delivery of high quality products

  • Problem Solve: Roll up your sleeves to quickly troubleshoot and solve people, process, and technology issues as you operate within a large scale and fast paced dental lab

  • Quality Adherence: Monitor and enforce adherence to strict manufacturing quality standards (e.g., stain and glaze protocols) and roll up your sleeves to lead by example. High quality is key to efficient scalability!

  • Inventory Monitoring: Develop and optimize workflows to ensure your team proactively tracks key inventory (e.g., stain and glaze, PPE) and re-supplies as needed

  • Lead: Lead, scale, and continuously train a team of 10+ technicians as they execute daily operational tasks

  • Collaborate: Work with other teams to proactively identify and address high priority improvement opportunities

  • Data Collection: Prepare reports & collect data for day-to-day tasks that may be used to monitor and measure success.

  • Training: Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and a mentor to train new & existing team members.

  • Cross Training: May be required to cross-train on multiple departments as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to work 2nd shift (2PM - 10:30PM)

  • 6+months of experience as a Crown & Bridge Technician

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment with tight deadlines

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

  • Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

  • Robust vision capabilities and attention to detail, including depth perception and color

  • Deep knowledge across multiple materials and finishing techniques

  • Passion for breaking down complex problems into smaller manageable steps in order to help team members effectively work through the ambiguity

  • High level of comfort with digital tools and technology

  • Very high attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Team player attitude and willingness to help others to help the team exceed expectations

  • Strong ability to maintain a clean work area and keep equipment, tools, and supplies clean to avoid contamination with foreign material

  • Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly

  • Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to prioritize

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
