Backed by top investors, Duro is looking for an experienced Staff Frontend Engineer with expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js. As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will design and develop full-stack applications, contribute to system design discussions, and solve complex problems with a focus on good design principles. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively under tight timelines, and a proactive approach to driving projects forward. What You’ll Do

• Design and implement modern user interfaces with a focus on usability, aesthetics, and accessibility, adhering to the latest UI/UX trends and best practices
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues in both frontend with profiling tools and optimization techniques
• Ensure consistent performance and appearance across various browsers and devices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand project requirements
• Participate in product design discussions and contribute innovative solutions
• Translate high-level project directions into detailed implementation plans
• Emphasize incremental development and continuous improvement of application quality
• Work efficiently in a startup environment, delivering results under pressure and tight timelines

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong programming skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Knowledge of database technologies such as NoSQL (Mongo), SQL Postgres and familiarity with database design and management
• Expertise in creating applications that work seamlessly on different screen sizes and devices
• Experience in consuming GraphQL and RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in writing comprehensive test cases and debugging complex issues, experience with testing frameworks like Cypress, Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine
• Knowledge of web security practices and how to implement them in both frontend and backend development
• Ability to tackle challenging problems creatively and effectively
• Thorough understanding of the role many of the technologies play in Duro’s tech stack
