Overview

We are seeking an energetic, creative, people-oriented Workplace Experience Manager to help run our New York Office. You will be the face of our office - greeting everyone that comes in, coordinating events, scheduling meetings, and ordering supplies. Additionally you will be one of the main points of contact to manage any onsite employee relations questions or issues, ensuring they make their way to the right person. This role is critical to Electric’s success because we know that engaged employees drive better business outcomes.

You should be excited about planning and executing a range of events, both virtual and IRL, coming up with new ways to foster meaningful connections between our employees, and strategically leveraging an array of tools and resources to continuously increase employee engagement. You’ll be a great fit for this role if you get your satisfaction from “getting things done”, fostering relationships, planning inclusive and innovative employee experiences, and building processes and systems to make your work as efficient and impactful as possible.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all office-related happenings at our NY HQ
  • Manage all employee requests either in-person or via our JIRA online ticketing system
  • Maintain a well-organized, secure and presentable working environment
  • Proactively work with the vendors to ensure office supplies, snacks and drinks are well-stocked
  • Liaise with building management, cleaning vendors and other outside vendors to maintain the office
  • Order supplies and place food orders for breakfasts/lunches and special events as needed
  • Communicate to employees about holidays and vacations, office closings, work disruptions and other events
  • Schedule conference room meetings and keep track of what external meetings are going on - setup and clean up as needed
  • Manage deliveries including vendors, mailing packages when needed
  • Periodically assist with project management of office tasks and ad hoc projects including but not limited to office space moves, desk/seating plan moves, etc.
  • Help drive meaningful connections and a sense of belonging at work through a mix of creative, virtual and in-person events (i.e. summer in-person event)
  • Manage on-site employee relations concerns and delegate them to the appropriate individual
  • Commemorate birthdays and anniversaries via our regular all employee meetings

Who you are

  • 4+ years professional experience with similar years of event planning experience (both virtual and IRL) and at least 2 years on an HR/People team at a high growth tech company
  • 2+ years experience as an assistant or office manager
  • Extreme attention to detail and meticulously organized; ability to multitask
  • Self motivated with an ownership mindset and ability to collaborate and problem solve to drive outcomes
  • Excellent time management and strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent people skills and a service-minded attitude
  • High energy personality focused on creating connection and inclusive relationship building
  • Demonstrates a great attitude and a “go with the flow” personality who can take unplanned situations in stride
  • No ego/humble and willing to roll up their sleeves
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Slack, Zoom, Jira and Asana
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with comfort and confidence presenting
  • Experience with basic data analysis
