Overview

At Electric, the SEO & CRO Marketing Manager drives organic revenue by increasing Electric's search visibility and optimizing Electric's web properties. You'll work alongside our content, creative, and paid search teams to identify topics our audience cares about, provide input to our content calendar, and run ongoing conversion rate optimization experiments on the Electric core site and landing pages.

You are responsible for managing all SEO activities, including keyword strategy, link building, technical optimization, and landing page tests, to increase traffic, leads, and revenue from organic search.

You are creative - ideating conversion tests via Google Optimize and writing punchy copy - and analytical - leading content audits and tracking leads through the funnel. Most importantly, you're a collaborative, curious, gritty colleague excited about investing in SEO to drive pipeline and bookings for a rapidly growing company.

What you'll do

  • Own keyword research, keeping a constant pulse on opportunities to engage our audience.

  • Develop a plan to engage our audience with content and a learning path relevant to their search intent. Not all searchers want a demo. Not all buyers want an article.

  • Work with our content manager and creative team to publish content that will rank & convert on Google and YouTube.

  • Ideate, manage and execute link-building campaigns based on tactics like competitor research, creation of link-intent content, skyscraper content, unlinked mentions, linkable assets, and more. You may manage a freelancer or agency to do this work.

  • Responsible for technical site optimization, including updating site architecture, reviewing sitemaps, testing new hierarchy, managing markup, optimizing internal linking, and improving site speed with our website developer.

  • Once users are on our site, you will help convert them into leads. To achieve this, you will ideate and execute conversion rate tests through Google Optimize, collect and analyze results, identify trends and insights, and continue iterating to improve conversion rates.

  • Use creative on-site tactics to drive engagement while maintaining a delightful user experience - test personalization, pop-ups, or other creative CTAs.

  • Collaborate with product marketing to stay current on new product features, testing new messaging points on our core site and landing pages.

  • You partner with our paid search and lifecycle marketers to optimize and iterate on paid and organic landing pages.

  • Keep a pulse on the latest SEO trends and best practices, finding innovative ways to integrate them into our business.

  • Manage our Google My Business page and BMI.

  • Own our monthly internal website report, sharing learnings, highlighting wins, and identifying areas for improvement.

Who you are

  • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in SEO

  • You love to learn and are always following the latest SEO trends to find new tactics that you can leverage to increase traffic and leads.

  • You've probably watched the latest Google IO keynote more than once.

  • You're organized and can manage your work within the marketing sprint.

  • You pay attention to detail and can produce high-quality work promptly.

  • While you believe there's much more to SEO than 'user experience,' you know user experience and enjoyment matter.

  • You possess levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.

  • Demonstrated experience or certifications with Google's Suite (Analytics, Search Console, Optimize) and SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.

We are proud to foster a workplace free from discrimination. Diversity of experience, perspectives, and background will lead to a better environment for our employees and a better product for our users.
