ExploreTech's mission is to discover the raw materials needed for the next millennium of human development. We are a mineral exploration company that believes the solution to critical mineral supply shortages is extreme vertical integration - rewriting the entire exploration stack with purpose-built software. If successful, we will cut discovery timelines from 10 years to 1 year and usher in an era of critical mineral abundance.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Finance Lead to build and lead ExploreTech’s finance function. You’ll work directly with the founders to shape our financial strategy, lead fundraising, and own finance end-to-end as the company scales. Both full-time and part-time (with a path to full-time) options are available.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling for exploration economics, capital planning, and long-term strategy.
- Prepare investor materials and data room financials.
- Support and execute the fundraising process, including investor discussions and term sheets.
- Own operational finance post-raise (budgeting, accounting, FP&A, cash management).
- Lead strategic finance and investor relations.
- Build and manage the finance function over time.
- Pitch in on general company needs typical of an early-stage startup.
Qualifications
- 4-5 years in investing, finance, or fundraising, or a proven track record raising capital.
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative skills.
- Understanding of commodity markets and basic mine finance (DCF, NPV, NAV).
- Familiarity with mineral exploration finance and commercial structures (JV, royalties, public markets, project finance).
- Strong accounting and FP&A fundamentals.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable owning the numbers.
- Willing to be hands-on in a scrappy, early-stage environment.
Bonus Points
- MBA.
- Prior mining experience.

Full-Time: Starting at $150,000 + equity
Part-Time: Hourly + equity
