With modern software and hardware, we aim to reduce mineral discovery timelines from 10 years to 1 year. Founded in 2023 by lifelong geoscientists, ExploreTech is a venture-backed business that develops technology and uses it to explore for minerals all over the world.
About the Role
We’re accelerating the pace of mineral discovery across the globe. Our customer base is growing fast and we are hiring a people-focused geologist to help them succeed. You’ll be on the frontlines of change in how we conduct mineral exploration, working with extremely talented geologists and explorationists. You’ll work on projects all over the world, see all sorts of deposit styles, and get a rare look at the most cutting-edge thinking in the industry. This is a cross-disciplinary role - you’ll see a lot of geology but you’ll also interface with sales, software engineering, and work closely with the founders.

What You’ll Do
- Help match exploration companies with technologies that improve operations
- Onboard customers onto the software
- Manage implementation and services projects
- Deliver and present technical results to customers
- Guide exploration thinking and decision-making in partnership with customers
- Be exposed to dozens of exploration projects all over the world
- Guide product development based on customer needs
- Work in a tight-knit, high-caliber team of expert geoscientists, software engineers, and entrepreneurs
About You
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in economic geology
- At least 2 years (for graduate degree) or 5 years (for bachelors degree) experience in mineral exploration
- Ability to speak fluently about rock types, mineral system models, and exploration strategies
- Able to speak credibly about technical topics with highly experienced geologists and CEOs
- Enthusiastic about technologies for mineral exploration
- Able to live and work in-person in San Diego, CA
