Associate Design Engineer

Overview
We are looking for an Associate Design Engineer to contribute to a highly innovative team by designing and leading improvements to bicycle products, with a focus on chainrings, in our San Luis Obispo location. Not all SRAM engineers are cyclists, but we all have a passion for creating our world class products. Responsibilities
- Design and develop high quality, robust products that achieve project goals.
- Apply SRAM engineering best practices and standard procedures to how work is accomplished.
- Effectively document design specifications using standard documentation practices.
- Regularly communicate, collaborate and consult with other engineers and team members.
- Facilitate problem resolution within the design team and at factories and suppliers.
- Mitigate risks through proactive design analysis.
- Provide input for development of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), or equivalent.
- Knowledge of a variety of materials and manufacturing processes such as forging, CNC machining/turning, and stamping.
- CAD experience required. Creo Parametric preferred.
- Familiarity with a variety of engineering tools such as statistics, GD&T, FEA, FMEA and tolerance analysis.
- Exceptional communication, teamwork and relationship skills.

This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus based on company and individual performance.
- This role is onsite in San Luis Obispo, CA and non-local candidates will be expected to relocate.
