About the Team:Helaina's Analytics team works hard to provide support to our R&D, Food Science, Immunology departments by generating timely and high quality data feedback. We also support regulatory filing to FDA and work closely with CROs and CDMOs. We view us as the center of excellence of data. We believe in growing our Analytics team and advancing their careers through valuable training and education.
About the Job:As a Lab Technician at Helaina, you'll be providing essential support to research and development of our products. This position will assist all of our teams, rather than having a narrow scope of procedures or responsibilities, providing you opportunities to interact with a wide variety of workflows and scientific disciplines.
What You'll Do:
- Provide valuable support to the R&D teams under the direction of the Lab Manager
- Learn key techniques and operate equipment commonly used in a laboratory environment
- Prepare media, buffers, and solutions for a variety of applications
- Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that are in effect to assure the quality of the research performed
- Maintain a clean and organized lab workspace with up to date inventory tracking
- Ensure the R&D team has clean and sterilized glassware to keep the work running efficiently
About You:
- You have an undergraduate degree in the chemistry, chemical engineering, biological, physical sciences or engineering
- You have at least 1 year of experience in a research setting performing basic laboratory procedures
- You are organized and can follow established procedures
- You are detail oriented and can handle assignments from multiple sources
- You have a strong sense of maturity and judgment when handling and sharing confidential information
- Bonus points for proficiency in running SDS gels and/or Western Blots
Compensation is market-competitive with an hourly rate of $22 - $26 per hour, plus equity.
