The Role:

We’re looking for a Sales Director to take a highly hands-on approach to driving new revenue, executing deals end-to-end, and shaping our go-to-market strategy. At J2, this is a player-coach role – you’ll act as a senior individual contributor, while also setting the tone for sales excellence, collaborating cross-functionality, and helping to build repeatable sales processes.

This role is ideal for someone with strong SaaS or healthcare sales experience who thrives in startup environments, loves owning the full sales cycle, and wants to grow with a fast-moving, mission-driven company.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to close - research, prospect, pitch, and manage contracts
• Represent J2 with professionalism and expertise in both virtual and in-person meetings (including industry events).
• Hit or exceed your individual sales quota while contributing to the team’s overall targets
• Identify new market segments and generate qualified leads through creative and persistent outreach
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and leadership to refine messaging, improve collateral, and influence roadmap decisions
• Serve as key voice in sales strategy and process development, bringing insights from the field
• Support junior team members with coaching and guidance as the team scales

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, healthcare, or B2B enterprise sales; experiencing selling to payers or providers is a strong plus
• Proven success management complex sales cycles and consistently closing deals
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal - with a professional presence that earns trust with senior stakeholders
• Data-driven, highly organized, and skilled at pipeline management using CRM tools (Hubspot)
• Comfortable in a startup environment where ambiguity is the norm and resourcefulness is key
• Deep interest or background in the U.S. healthcare system and/or provider networks is a major plus

The salary range for this role is $150,000-170,000. This role also offers commission, benefits and equity. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
