About the role:

As a Student Data Engineer at K Health, you will work closely with our data engineering team to support the development, maintenance, and optimization of data infrastructure and systems.

This a part-time student position role. It is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented student who is passionate about working with data and is looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-growing healthcare tech company.

What you'll be doing:

  • Data Ingestion: Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Data Warehousing: Support the design and maintenance of data warehouses, helping to organize and store data for efficient access and analysis.
  • Data Transformation: Collaborate with the team to create data transformations and ETL processes to make data more accessible for analytics and reporting.
  • Database Management: Assist in the management and optimization of databases, ensuring high performance and security.
  • Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for data pipelines, processes, and data infrastructure.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and provide support for their projects.
  • Performance Tuning: Assist in performance tuning of data systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability

What we're looking for:

  • Current student pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in data engineering and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying.
  • Basic knowledge of data manipulation and transformation tools, such as Python or ETL tools.
  • Familiarity with data storage and database management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

We offer competitive compensation packages along with stock options based on industry benchmarks for function, level, and geographic location. Offer amounts are determined by multiple factors such as a candidate's experience and expertise.
