About the role:

The Clinician Licensing Specialist’s primary responsibility is to manage and maintain the licensing needs of our clinical staff assisting in the addition and renewal of state medical licenses for current and newly onboarded clinicians. As the Clinician Licensing Specialist you will keep records of all licensing activities and will work to meet weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual licensing objectives.The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of clinical licensing experience, working in a multi state practice or relative experience. In this role you will work collaboratively with other teams across the organization. Our team is composed of passionate, forward-thinking professionals eager to take on the challenge of leveraging AI to help expand access to healthcare and while playing a formative role in our day to day operations. Responsibilities:

  • Track and process licensing and renewal applications for all K Health medical staff
  • Develop FCVS (Federation Credentials Verification Service) profiles for physicians, ensuring all required information is complete and up-to-date.
  • Accurately submit FCVS profiles and other necessary documentation to state medical licensing boards in compliance with state specific requirements and deadlines.
  • Verify, validate, and track physicians credentials, including certifications, state licenses, and CME’s.
  • Monitor the progress of licensing applications, provide regular updates to the physicians and manager, and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Must possess knowledge of state licensing requirements, ensuring all submissions adhere to the latest standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact between the physicians and licensing boards.
  • Organize and maintain accurate records of all licensing applications, correspondence and supporting documents.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the licensing process, enhancing efficiency and reducing turnaround times.
  • Arrange for background and fingerprinting services as applicable
  • Creating a dashboard of licensing activities to reflect ongoing progress with licensing activity and goals
  • Conduct monthly audits on clinician licensing to efficiently manage active and inactive licenses.
  • Coordinate the initial and re-credentialing process for K Health providers.
  • Conduct Primary Source Verification of credentials.
  • Review and evaluate applications and supporting documents to ensure compliance with NCQA standards and delegated payer requirements.
  • Assist with audit reviews as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and contribute to special projects as required

Required for Position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration/ human services or equivalent career experience
  • Must have experience with clinician licensing in multiple states
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and listening skills, with a natural, consultative style
  • Ability to energize, communicate, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
  • Strong project management skills, with a demonstrable ability to corral and manage details in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy
  • Ability to document activity and maintain records
  • Proficiency in Google suite
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet established deadlines
  • Handle confidential / sensitive materials and information with discretion and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
