Who We Are

Maybern is transforming the way private fund managers effectively manage their funds through cutting edge technology. Maybern is founded by top engineering experts with deep knowledge of the fund management space.

Private funds manage $15T in capital and are growing at 20% YoY, but with increasing regulatory scrutiny and investor demands for transparency, the need for world class software to help private fund CFOs is crucial.

This is where Maybern comes in.

We are equipping fund managers with intuitive, flexible fund management software, enabling private investment managers to focus on what they do best: driving returns for their investors. We are backed by leading venture capital firms and a large number of strategic investors.

Maybern is an NYC based company with a strong in-office culture to drive collaboration, and we are looking to make strong additions to our team.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and systems-oriented Product Manager with experience working on complex technical products, ideally in B2B SaaS. In this role, you’ll be the product lead on the engineering squad that is responsible for building and maintaining the fund accounting logic that underpins our entire platform. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in detail-heavy, logic-driven environments and is excited by the opportunity to scale infrastructure that directly powers our go-to-market motion.

What You'll Do

  • Product discovery & research: You’ll conduct user research and data analysis to understand our users’ needs and opportunity areas. You’ll use quantitative and qualitative data to inform product priorities and decisions. You’ll balance the ultimate user experience with business goals, and break down complex problems in order to identify and manage their solutions.

  • Product delivery: You’ll partner closely with Engineering to deliver high-quality, technically complex features that unlock new client segments. You’ll help define priorities and unblock the team as new questions arise.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: You’ll synthesize research learnings to share cross-functionally. You’ll keep stakeholders informed on progress, roadblocks, and any impacts to timelines. You’ll leverage the internal accounting expertise of our client-facing team to help inform scoping decisions.

  • Contributing to our foundations: You’ll support our Director of Product and PM peers in strengthening our product process and shaping roadmap strategy for our core infrastructure.

Who You Are

  • Collaborative. You communicate clearly and work well across technical and non-technical teams. You value input and know how to drive toward alignment.

  • Product Vision. You build with a user-centric mindset, identifying real user needs through research, customer journey mapping, and frameworks like jobs-to-be-done. You prioritize solving meaningful problems and delivering intuitive, high-impact solutions.

  • Leader. You take ownership of product direction and decision-making, proactively identifying opportunities and guiding teams toward impactful outcomes. You thrive in ambiguity, can take broad guidance and turn it into an actionable plan, and improve team processes along the way.

  • Strategic. You balance big-picture thinking with execution, making thoughtful trade-offs between long-term vision and immediate priorities. You can define a compelling roadmap while adapting to changing business needs and constraints.

This Could Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Have 3-4 years of product management experience, ideally working on a B2B product, with a proven track record for delivering high impact product solutions

  • Have both a strong product sense and research skills, with an ability to make decisions that balance quantitative / qualitative data, domain expertise and gut instinct

  • Are excited by systems and logic, and not afraid to dive into workflows like waterfalls, reallocations, or fee calculations

  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and are eager to contribute to a product vision and have a high impact on a growing organization

  • Able to clearly communicate and effectively collaborate with team members across all levels of the organization

  • Are obsessed with details and excited to "get into the weeds"
