We are seeking a Payroll & Total Rewards Project Manager to join our People Team, who will be responsible for overseeing and driving changes in our organization's payroll and total rewards systems and processes. This role will involve a combination of strategic planning, project management, and implementation of new systems or processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Evaluation and Strategic Planning:
    • Assess current payroll and rewards systems to identify improvement areas and opportunities.
    • Develop a transformation strategy with clear objectives, timelines, and milestones.
  • Implementation and Optimization:
    • Oversee the implementation of new systems, ensuring integration and data integrity.
    • Optimize processes for efficiency, compliance, and effective change management.
  • Payroll and Tax Analysis and Administration:
    • Understand and support the accurate processing of payroll for employees, including calculating wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
    • Staying informed of changes to tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local payroll regulations
    • Analyzing payroll variances against projections, preparing payroll reports as needed
  • Total Rewards Analysis and Administration :
    • Analyzing compensation data to ensure competitive and fair pay practices. This includes salary benchmarking and market analysis.
    • As needed, assist in managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.

What We’re Looking For

  • Project Management/Process Improvement/Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong project management skills with experience in leading large-scale transformation projects
    • Deep understanding of payroll systems, HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems), and total rewards management
    • Ability to design, implement, and optimize new and existing processes
  • Total Rewards Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of compensation structures, benefit programs, equity and incentive programs
    • Familiarity with market trends & compliance requirements
    • Ability to design & implement reward solutions that align with Noom’s total rewards programs
  • Payroll Knowledge:
    • Comprehensive understanding of pay processes, including calculations, deductions and statutory requirements
    • Familiarity of payroll accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations
    • Experience with payroll audits, controls and systems governances
  • Technical Requirements:
    • Workday & advanced Excel/Google Sheets experience is a must

Base Salary

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $163,000.
    • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting is based on Noom’s estimate as of the date of publication and reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, scope, and location. This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package.
