We’re a mission-driven, high-growth organization that’s powered by science, technology, and world-class talent.
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role will be crucial as we design and scale our new lines of business, including those with coaching or clinician components. - Partner with stakeholders across Noom to implement and scale a data science system that can accurately measure and predict the cost of the services we provide our community of users
- Develop and maintain models to differentiate fixed vs. variable costs, aiding in understanding how different business lines scale under different scenarios.
- Estimate the implications of different product and operational choices, enabling informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and operations to support data-driven decision-making.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Learn from and influence a diverse team of data scientists working on problems across Noom.

- 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist in a similarly-sized organization, with a proven record of analysis and research that positively impacts your team.
- Superior knowledge of statistical analysis methods, such as feature selection, logistic and standard regression, random forests, etc.
- Extensive experience with pandas, numpy, and sklearn. Experience with forecasting (prophet, orbit) and causal inference (DoWhy, CausalML) tools is a plus
- Experience with engineers in building an actual production system that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence. We don’t expect you to write production-quality code, but you should have some programming experience.
- Familiarity with financial forecasting, customer lifetime value prediction, customer segmentation, propensity and uplift modeling and causal inference techniques.
- Excellent SQL/relational algebra skills, ideally with at least a basic knowledge of how different types of databases (e.g.: column vs row storage) work.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
