We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer who is passionate about pushing mobile technologies to the limits. We value people who are unafraid to dig into other people’s code, think that code is the best documentation, and like to experiment with new technologies while understanding the risk of pushing them to production. We like to work with engineers who believe learning a concept is more important than learning a framework and pick technologies outside their comfort zone when they believe they’re the best tool for solving a particular problem.

As a senior member of our mobile team, you will help us develop new features that take advantage of the latest iOS ecosystem trends, improve our existing systems, and ensure our community of users is having an impactful and positive experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Working on problems that affect the lives of real people. Our users depend on us to make positive changes to their health and their lives.
• Basing your work on scientifically-proven, peer-reviewed methodologies that are designed by medical professionals
• Collaborating with a widely distribute team across both US and EU
• Making significant contributions to feature development on our existing applications
• Keeping up-to-date with latest trends in the iOS ecosystem
• Be a core contributor to the maintenance and improvement of our existing systems
• As a senior member of the engineering team, you will also be a teacher and a leader, providing guidance, education, and support to the rest of the team on all things mobile!
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 3 years of large-scale iOS experience in a team environment; at least 5+ years of software engineering experience
• A strong understanding of complex native mobile applications to help set the direction for iOS as we scale
• Ability to write code that is well structured, idiomatic, reusable, and easy to understand
• Excellent communicator: comfort explaining technical problems verbally and in writing
• Team player: enjoys teaching new concepts to, and collaborating with, the team
• User-oriented: thoughtfulness when considering both our growing and our legacy users when implementing new features and updates, placing them as the priority
• Strong sense of responsibility and ownership; you will have come from an environment in which people are responsible for their own code
  
  

Base Salary

• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000 - $224,000.
• Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting is based on Noom’s estimate as of the date of publication and reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position across all US locations. The actual placement of the candidate within the range is based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, assessment of functional skills and behavioral competencies, scope, and location. This range is not inclusive of any discretionary bonus or equity package.
