About the Role

We are looking for a Materials Planner to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. In this role, you’ll be involved in both inventory and purchasing responsibilities. You will schedule and forecast the correct volumes of materials to our manufacturing site from our suppliers to ensure that the supply of materials meet the production / demand schedule. Your role helps ensure dental orders are fulfilled and shipped out to meet our customer deadlines as we work toward our goal to modernize the dental lab process. You will be expected to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure supply of materials meets production requirements. The ideal candidate has strong personal accountability for results, a desire for excellence, and comfort operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do

  • Manage the bi-weekly purchase submissions for all internal departments
  • Oversee the purchase forecasting and analysis
  • Monitor the purchase orders to ensure these are properly processed and assist with shipment deliveries
  • Weekly reconciliation of NetSuite receipts to physical shipments
  • Support the Sr. Materials Manager by preparing all relevant activities to be timely resolved during the month-end close with our financial team
  • Lead the process and complete all inventory requisitions for internal departments via the Material Clerk
  • Maintain system accuracy of physical on-hand inventory through management of the lab’s inventory reserves, bill of materials (BOMs), proper work order and assembly build closeouts, and post-build inventory reconciliations
  • ead the departments’ adherence to regular cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, institute policies to prevent future problems, and prepare inventory accuracy reports via the material clerk
  • Track and report operational KPIs and assist with validating inventory processes
  • Submit monthly inventory count reports to corporate finance
  • Other inventory management tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to be full-time in office Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Bachelor’s degree &/ 2+ years of experience in purchasing
  • Experience in distribution, warehousing, or operations at a high growth company
  • Experience solving complex problems, exercising good judgment in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating across a diverse team
  • Proven to be self-motivated, self-directed, and eager to take ownership of tasks to ensure a solution
  • Proficient with time management and balancing multiple deadlines
  • Naturally organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skill
  • Comfortable being an owner of process improvement
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
