At Pattern Brands, we live to curate products that turn your everyday routines into joyful rituals. We are a fast-growing portfolio of brands in the home goods space looking for an entrepreneurial sourcing & production manager to join our supply chain team.

This role will help to lead the end-to-end product sourcing process, from identifying potential suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring timely production and delivery.

This is a full-time, remote 6-month contract to perm position reporting to the Director of Supply Chain. Candidates must be US-based and available to start in August.

Responsibilities include:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and ethical standards to build a robust and diverse supplier base.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost efficiencies and maintain high product quality.
  • Collaborate closely with the merchandising team to understand product requirements and specifications for sourcing, product development and production purposes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance evaluations, and implement improvement plans to meet quality and delivery expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all sourcing and production-related regulations, industry standards, and ethical practices.
  • Monitor supplier performance and market trends to anticipate potential disruptions and develop contingency plans.
  • Oversee the production process, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and cost objectives.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing and production efficiency.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve any production-related issues or quality concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Conduct regular audits of suppliers' facilities to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sourcing and production activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-6+ years of experience in product sourcing and production management, preferably with a focus on home or cookware products.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and managing suppliers for product manufacturing.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain productive supplier relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing best practices, supply chain principles, and quality management.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements related to product sourcing and production.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple sourcing and production projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with a focus on delivering high-quality products on time.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to visit suppliers and manufacturing facilities.

Compensation & structure:

  • The compensation for this full-time 1099 engagement is a monthly retainer of $6,500 - $8,000 (paid semi-monthly) based on qualifications and experience.
