Pattern Brands is looking for a highly motivated and creative Photographer to work at our studio in DUMBO, Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will have an interest in both still and video content production, and a large appetite for learning not only within the content world, but within design and DTC brands.

This role will be for 1-2 days per week and can be flexible around your schedule as needed.

Responsibilities:

Photography:

• Shoot product photography and occasionally photo and video content for social. These will be for various product categories across all brands in the Pattern portfolio.
• Capture images that adhere to brand guidelines and reflect the aesthetic of each individual brand, as well as guidance provided by Creative Director. Ensure accurate representation of colors, textures, and details of products.
• Set up and adjust lighting, backgrounds, and props as needed to achieve results that align with provided art direction, ensuring all shots on shot list are completed.
• Asset management including file-naming, and folder structure organization and backups.

Equipment and Studio Management:

• Ensure proper care and maintenance of photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories.
• Send and receive product samples and props for photoshoots and other business initiatives and help to keep them organized.
• Organize and maintain the studio space, ensuring it is clean, functional, and well-stocked with necessary supplies and props.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in product photography, preferably in an ecommerce setting
• Proficiency with photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and related accessories
• Experience with Capture One and Photoshop
• A good eye for lighting and experience in strobe lighting setups
• Attention to detail and an eye for composition and color
• Basic knowledge of studio management and organization
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Experience with asset management
• Bonus points for video experience

Compensation & details:

• Required to work 1-2 days per week (M-F)
• $20 - $34 p/h depending on experience
• Role is an onsite role at our DUMBO studio
• Must be able to start in the next 4 weeks
