About the Role
Spark is hiring a Strategic Growth Manager to help drive forward Spark’s continued growth. As an external-facing Spark champion, you will be responsible for recruiting new independent agents and agencies to our mission and supporting our partners with Spark’s technology and services, always approaching our market with genuine empathy and a problem-solving mentality.
What you’ll do:
Get in front of new agent and agency prospects — including running sales events, building relationships with local carriers, providers, or other stakeholders, and directly outreaching agents and agencies in your territory — using creativity, tenacity, and a genuine empathy to serve our agency stakeholders to build a strong pipeline of potential partners
Establish rapport and build trust with prospects, deeply understanding their problems and communicating the Spark story, product, and services to bring new partners into our organization
Nurture your pipeline, including regular phone check-ins, office visits, email updates, etc, with an eye toward continuously surprising and delighting prospects
Capture, process, and deliver feedback from sales conversations to Marketing, Operations, and Product
Closely collaborate with Agent Success to ensure each partner takes full advantage of Spark’s resources to grow their business and better serve their clients
Diligently track sales pipeline metrics, notes, and feedback, contributing to overall sales operations and culture
What you’ll have
Experience: At least 4 years experience either directly recruiting or supporting independent Medicare agents or making complex sales into SMBs
High EQ: you’ll take genuine interest into understanding your prospects challenges and motivations, and you’ll use that understanding to build rapport
Creativity + tenacity: you’ll find new and innovative ways to approach agencies and surprise & delight them through the relationship-building process
Process orientation: you’ll diligently track pipeline metrics and reporting, with an eye toward continuous improvement of our sales processes
