About Spark Advisors

We’re Spark, a mission-driven company helping independent Medicare brokers build the insurance business of their dreams. The vast majority of beneficiaries select benefits with the help of an independent broker, but technology and support for brokers is woefully antiquated. We provide workflows and services to help brokers achieve transformative growth.

In just four years, we’ve partnered with over 5,000 brokers and enrolled over 100,000 beneficiaries, making us the fastest-growing Medicare brokerage in the country. Brokers love us: during this period of intense growth, we’ve maintained an NPS of 91, a client retention rate of 93%, and we’ve helped brokers grow on average >100% since partnering with us.

It’s an exciting time to be at Spark. Our diverse, remote-first team comes from leading technology, healthcare, and insurance companies, and has grown from 40 to 70 in the last year. Most recently, we’ve raised a Series B from leading investors who share our ambition.

Join us: we’re always on the lookout for sharp, talented, empathetic teammates.

Summary

We’re looking for a Sales Enablement Lead to design, implement, and manage enablement programs to ensure our Strategic Growth Managers (SGMs) have the skills, resources, and tools to exceed their performance targets. This role will play a critical role in Spark’s go-to-market strategy and will have a direct impact on our future growth.

Working with Sales Leadership, you will own the sales enablement program for new and established SGMs across the country. You will craft an end-to-end sales enablement curriculum, develop content and processes that appreciate different learning styles, and leverage certifications to measure effectiveness. You will be responsible for delivering the curriculum, reporting on its results and progress, and iterating as needed, especially as our sales team and product offering evolve.

As the connective tissue between sales and all cross-functional teams (e.g., Growth Operations, Marketing, Success, and Product), you’ll be responsible for keeping the sales team informed and trained on new releases along with regularly sharing feedback and insights from the sales team.

The ideal candidate is a true team player, but will always anchor to the metrics and consistently hold the sales team to a high bar. You have tremendous content development skills and are thoughtful about the delivery given our diverse sales team. You’re passionate about sales, in general, and will be a real thought partner to Sales Leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Design and deliver new hire training for new SGMs
    • Build, maintain, and execute the new hire training curriculum & related certifications
  • Design and deliver ongoing training for established SGMs

  • Own sales enablement materials, education, and feedback
    • Build and maintain the Spark Sales content library
    • Roll out new product features, marketing collateral, and sales processes
    • Collect and triage sales feedback to relevant teams

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • +7 years of experience as a sales training specialist or manager for a mid-market sales motion
  • Experience structuring an onboarding program for high growth business (10+ new sellers)
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement new selling processes and narratives
  • Proven ability to adapt on the fly in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience delivering day-long or multi-day training to groups of salespeople virtually or in-person
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, which make it easy for sales to action on immediately
  • Strong organization and cross-functional skills to be able to work with experts from Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product
  • Experience with Hubspot, Google Suite, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
