WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Vestwell’s fast-growing marketing team is looking for a Marketing Content Senior Associate focused on Sales Enablement.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a new role in a high-growth startup that is making investing and savings programs more accessible for every American - in the workplace and beyond. This role will be key in supporting a range of product and growth marketing initiatives that aim to differentiate our products in the fintech industry, communicate our product messaging externally, and ultimately propel the company’s rapid expansion.

This person will work to create and update existing materials that help move prospects deeper into the buyer’s journey. We want to ensure our sales team has the materials they need and lead with engaging, smart, and thought-provoking content.

We’re looking for an analytical, creative writer to improve our buyer journey across our advisor and small business sales segments. You’ll be working closely with marketing and sales leadership to identify and develop for new or improved sales assets including email copy, sales collateral, decks, etc.


This is an opportunity to meaningfully increase the pace of Vestwell’s growth by developing and testing strategies for all segments of our sales team to improve their respective close rates and average contract values.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Content development
      • Lead the development, revision, and ongoing management of marketing content and sales collateral to assist sales in driving business growth, including pitch decks, case studies, sales guides, emails, one pagers, product collateral, how-to videos and more/
      • Create new content and update existing materials with new features and messaging as our value proposition evolves.
      • Field ad hoc content requests from the sales team.
      • Focus on creating content for multiple audiences at different stages within the user journey.
  • Content measurement
      • Build measurement approach to understand the impact of different messages and enablement resources (eg, emails, collateral)..
  • Content management
      • Manage sales enablement platform and sales collateral, ensuring that the sales team has the right information to use at the right time for the right audience.
  • Content strategy
      • Help develop product positioning that differentiates Vestwell’s suite of savings and investment products in the market.
      • Works cross-functionally with stakeholders across the marketing team and other parts of the organization to understand major campaigns, launches, and themes and to develop a wide range of content pieces.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of relevant financial services experience in product, content, growth, lifecycle marketing, or a role where you meaningfully improved the buyer journey.
  • Be highly organized, deadline-oriented, with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Ability to scope a project from inception to completion. Balances multiple projects and goals at once.
  • Likes to scope and determine new initiatives with support from senior leadership.
  • Display an understanding of others’ opinions while working with different internal stakeholders across the organization.
  • Demonstration of strong grammar, writing and editing skills, that can comfortably create a one-pager or a compelling sales deck, but is strategic enough to identify the highest opportunity areas to improve.
  • A self-starter with strong project management skills - able to juggle multiple projects with competing deadlines and shifting business priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with samples and outcomes of your work to share.
  • Enjoys diving into data to understand the effectiveness of materials and how to improve those numbers.
  • Able to get in the minds of our customers and prospects, and can identify why messages are or aren’t resonating with a buyer.
  • Exceptional writing skills and a proven ability to distill and convey complex, technical topics and messaging in a clear, engaging manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Work and other software as it applies.

The expected salary range for this position is 80-85k. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.
