Who is Vestwell State Savings?

Vestwell State Savings (VSS) – a subsidiary of Vestwell Holdings Inc. – serves as the trusted administrator for nearly 30 programs and counting. We provide support and services for state auto-IRA, ABLE and 529 programs by employing innovative technology and a dedicated team focused solely on our clients’ needs.

Who are we looking for?

Vestwell’s client list is expanding and we’re excited about bringing onboard a Middle Office Associate to work with the State Savings Middle Office team to help service our clients. The ideal candidate will be someone who is client-focused, has great communication, organization and problem solving skills and a proven ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.

What will you be doing?

VSS’s Middle Office team is responsible for designing, building, and ensuring the continued smooth operation of all “events” that our State Savings clients are continuously performing. These events include – but are certainly not limited to - platform product enhancements, investment portfolio changes and on-boarding new clients. The Middle Office team creates solutions to the challenges our clients face – and then coordinates the VSS teams to deliver those solutions. The Middle Office oversees efforts across every aspect of the event, from client interaction to the most detailed operational task performed by our third-party partners. The Middle Office Associate will support the Relationship Management, Product Management, Finance, Operations, Marketing and third-party teams and help to coordinate all events.

Day-to-day, you will be expected to:

  • Collaborate with the Relationship Management team to identify client needs and then develop project plans and monitor progress as we work towards a solution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with personnel – from Relationship Management, Operations, Product, Finance, Marketing and Legal & Compliance – to drive the successful planning and implementation of strategies and tactics developed to achieve client objective
  • Communicate internally -- inter- and intra-departmentally -- via written communication, phone, videoconference and occasionally in person
  • Interact with clients – via written communication, phone, videoconference and occasionally in person
  • Identify areas for process improvement and help implement change to increase efficiency for the team


The Necessities

  • Basic knowledge of financial services
  • Critical problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The Extras

  • Proficient in project management software such as Asana, Jira, etc.
  • Financial services operations experience – 529/ABLE, savings/investments, retirement or wealth management

The expected salary range for this position is 65k-85k. Please note that salary bands are based on NY and other similar metro areas and may differ based on where the role is ultimately hired.
