WHO ARE WE?

There are over 30M small businesses in the United States, but only a tiny fraction of them have a workplace savings program in place. As the savings gap in the country widens, it’s imperative that every worker has access to and participates in their company’s savings program, such as a 401(k) or 403(b). We believe that American workers should have easy access to an inexpensive, flexible, and intuitive solution to save for a brighter future.

Unfortunately, prior to Vestwell, small businesses have been neglected and underserved, with expensive, inflexible, poorly designed offerings built on old, mainframe software. Vestwell is changing that, starting with rebuilding the core infrastructure for the modern era.

Vestwell’s north star is to be the engine behind a $30T industry, powering all payroll-deducted workplace savings programs for small-to-midsize businesses, such as 401(k), 403(b), IRA, emergency savings accounts (ESA), health savings accounts (HSA), 529 college savings, and alike.

Vestwell’s focus is to build the most flexible, powerful workplace savings and investment platform, delivered through the hands and minds of their financial services partners with the help of payroll provider partners. Our 2024 Summer Internship Program

Vestwell’s mission is to build a unified workplace savings platform to deliver the elevated experience that every employee deserves, while closing the savings gap.

Our Business teams are each hiring an intern to participate in an 10-week intensive summer internship program from June 3 - August 9. The goal of Vestwell’s internship program is to provide the insights, tools, and training to empower participants to identify and advocate for what they view as the greatest opportunities for our teams to fulfill the company’s mission.

As an intern at Vestwell, you will have the opportunity to learn about the company and all aspects of our industry and business across various departments. You will work closely with stakeholders across our extremely collaborative, cross-functional teams to conduct research, capture data, and attend meetings where you will be asked to participate in projects that will help prepare you to tackle business challenges here and in your future career.

To help set you up for success and ensure opportunities for continuous growth, you will have an assigned manager and dedicated mentor to help guide you through your internship with regularly scheduled check-ins and feedback sessions.

Team looking for your support:

Product Marketing: Vestwell’s marketing team is looking for an intern. Are you excited by the fast-paced, challenging, and collaborative environment within a fast-growing marketing team? Are you super-efficient and organized, attentive to detail, and a proactive problem-solver? If so, you could be an ideal candidate for this role. Knowledge of the financial services market is preferable, but it’s OK if your background looks different. We care about your potential, not just your past experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to step into an internship role in a high-growth startup that is making investing and savings programs more accessible for every American - in the workplace and beyond. This role will be key in supporting a range of product and content marketing initiatives that aim to differentiate our products in the fintech industry, communicate our product messaging both internally and externally, and ultimately propel the company’s rapid expansion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with conception, development, and execution of Safe Harbor promotional materials for sales team, as well as additional sales and marketing campaign collateral
  • Propose new organizational system for the Marketing Collateral Confluence page to more easily highlight key topics
  • Research video production freelancers/teams to support with NYC in-person case studies
  • Assist with writing, editing, fact checking 15-20 video scripts to expand our bank of Vestwell University high level financial education content
  • Edit 10-20 blog posts around general financial education topics
  • Assist with auditing and fact-checking 100+ help center articles for clarity, consistency, and accuracy
  • Research themes/questions and propose narrative ideas for Vestwell 2025 Annual Survey

REQUIREMENTS:
The Necessities:

  • A final-year student or recent graduate (including boot camps and or other related programs)
  • Based in the U.S. (EST preferred)
  • Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in GSuite and or Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask
  • Cope well under pressure

  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work
  • Working towards Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent combined work experience
  • A collaborative team player who is also a curious and independent thinker
  • Proven ability to proactively problem-solve and tackle new challenges
