Wunderkind is seeking a highly experienced VP of Engineering to join our Product & Engineering Leadership Team. Reporting directly to our SVP of Product & Engineering, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution to empower our platform's growth and innovation.

You will lead a dynamic team of engineers, overseeing the development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions that redefine the marketing landscape. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep technical expertise, a passion for driving excellence, and a relentless focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the company's technical roadmap, aligning engineering initiatives with business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure optimal resource assignments on a daily and weekly basis to maximize the productivity and output of the engineering team.
  • Define and communicate a clear technical vision, driving architectural decisions and ensuring alignment with long-term goals.
  • Work closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to prioritize features, resolve technical challenges, and drive product innovation.
  • Champion agile methodologies and best practices, fostering a culture of agility, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for the engineering team, tracking performance and providing regular feedback to drive accountability and growth.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in senior engineering leadership roles, preferably in the marketing technology or SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of leadership in software engineering, with deep expertise in building scalable, high-performance SaaS platforms.
  • Strong technical acumen and proven expertise in engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices, essential for guiding and collaborating with cross-functional teams towards innovative technical solutions
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor, and develop engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for technology and innovation, with a curiosity to explore emerging trends and technologies in the marketing technology space and the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and drive innovation.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, trust, and transparency.
  • Strong focus on results and delivery, with a commitment to excellence and a drive to exceed customer expectations.

The base salary range for this role is $215,000 to $270,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.
