Senior Director, Operations
As Senior Director of Operations, you will play a critical role in building, leading, and scaling Alma’s revenue cycle function. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, you will lead the day-to-day operations of several of our Core Operations teams. With a strong focus on service quality and scalability, you will contribute to our mission of improving access to high-quality, affordable mental health care by supporting providers in building thriving private practices. The winning candidate will be someone who combines exceptional people leadership with hands-on problem solving, and excels in a fast-paced, collaborative culture.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a salaried and largely hourly workforce (100+ employees) to meet productivity and quality goals
- Pioneer continuous improvement and workflow optimization efforts to streamline operations across teams and work queues; ensure SLAs and KPI targets are consistently met as we scale
- Manage escalations arising from your respective teams; partner within Operations and with cross-functional teams (e.g, Product, Engineering) to understand issue scope, identify root cause, evaluate solutions, and drive resolution
- Partner with our People team and HRBP to implement and maintain robust performance management processes at all levels, including coaching, growth, and performance improvement
- Define and deliver on a team-wide engagement strategy; oversee planning and execution of all team-building activities and offsite events
- Set clear priorities, foster a positive work culture, and inspire team members to deliver high-quality work while promoting personal and professional growth
- Uphold and promote the company's values including our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
Who you are:
- You have 8-12 years of experience leading large, multi-layered teams in high-growth, operationally complex environments
- You are a top-notch manager and people leader, with a strong track record of leading high-performing teams and driving results
- You have exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and can break down complex issues into structured frameworks and actionable insights to rally your team to take action quickly and decisively
- You are eager to roll up your sleeves and get in the weeds with teams to solve problems at the ground level
- You have strong business acumen and data fluency, with a unique ability to spot trends and ‘connect the dots’; you are equally comfortable with high-level strategy and in-the-weeds execution
- You have excellent communication skills, including the ability to express complexity in a simple way and to inspire others with your vision
- You may have healthcare and revenue cycle industry experience (a big plus)

Salary Band: $175,000 - $200,000
