The Challenge to Solve

Enabling self service for restaurant owners from a powerful app in their pocket, and delivering key insights and recommendations to help them grow their business and compete with the big chains.

The Role

You’ll be working on our recently launched partner app that is used by restaurant owners to manage and monitor their business. You will be working on a very modern app using the latest Android technologies and will be focused on expanding the feature set of a product that has huge potential to be a key tool for pizzeria owners operating their business daily. This app forms part of the ecosystem of tools and services we offer to pizzerias so you will be working to integrate the app with other key parts of that ecosystem, such as our iPad point of sale system.

The Team

As part of a relatively new project team within the company, you will work directly with two experienced Android developers. The wider team includes the iOS developers who work on the iOS version of the app, the Tech Lead of both teams, a Product Manager, a Designer, the Backend developers who provide the internal APIs we use, and QA engineers who keep an eye out for any bugs. The team is distributed across continents and time zones, although the app engineers are all within two hours of UK time.

The Winning Recipe

We’re looking for creative, entrepreneurial engineers who are excited to build world-class products for small business owners. These are the core competencies this role calls for:

• At least two years commercial experience building Android mobile applications
• Strong Kotlin experience
• Experience with some key technologies we use is helpful but not essential as we’re happy with candidates who can learn on the job:
• Jetpack Compose
• Kotlin Coroutines
• Dagger and Hilt dependency injection
