The Challenge to Solve

As the Revenue Accounting Manager, you will be an integral part of the Slice Accounting team, assisting leadership with all aspects of the financial close process and various reporting requirements. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of our financial operations, with a focus on revenue accounting for our online ordering platform and related physical hardware and supplies businesses.

The Role

• Manage the daily financial operations of the Company’s revenue cycle related to the physical hardware and supplies businesses
• Oversee the accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, and cash application for a growing supplies business
• Partner closely with FP&A and Financial Reporting teams around monthly variance analysis, management reporting and GAAP reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve revenue-related issues
• Analyze revenue/billings data and provide insights to support decision-making
• Drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline Accounting operations and improve the quality of monthly close
• Assist in the documentation of existing and design/implementation of new Internal Controls
• Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to assigned areas

The Team

This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting, with frequent collaboration with other departments. This position will have one direct report at the Senior Accountant level.

We’re looking for creative, entrepreneurial colleagues who are passionate about supporting small businesses. These are the core competencies this role calls for:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial role and a focus on revenue accounting
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities (especially while operating in ambiguity)
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from supervisor to accomplish objectives
• Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
• Easily coachable and open to feedback for continuous self-improvement
• Advanced Excel skills (index, pivot tables, lookups, large datasets)
• Order-to-cash / revenue systems implementation experience a plus
• Inventory / Cost Accounting experience a major plus

Salary Range: $110k - $130k yearly + equity & benefits.

The Hiring Process

Here’s what we expect the hiring process for this role to be, should all go well with your candidacy. This entire process is expected to take 1-3 weeks to complete and you’d be expected to start on a specific date.
