The Role

As a Staff Accountant at Slice, you are crucial to the success of the company. Please note this is a full-time position and working hours are 9:00-17:00, Monday through Friday.

The Team

Along with your many fellow colleagues, your day to day role will focus on our US, Macedonia and Belfast based corporate accounting, specifically on daily cash reconciliation, accounts receivables, accruals, and reconciliations for the corporate portfolio.

What you'll do:

• Record and reconcile cash transactions on a daily basis
• Assist with the monthly close processes including account reconciliations and maintenance of monthly support schedules
• Analyze monthly financial data to ensure all monthly activity has been recorded and reconciled
• Perform operational analysis as directed by management
• Proactively identify process inefficiencies and lead/assist in developing and executing process improvement initiatives/solutions
• Assist with implementation of accounting procedures and controls
• Provide support to finance management and other internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc financial analysis, and special projects.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of accounting theory
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills, including data tables, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
• Familiarity with online accounting software, preferably Intacct
• Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external constituents to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
• You’re eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced exciting startup environment.
• You’re easily coachable and welcome feedback for continuous self-improvement.
• You’re an excellent listener, assertive, persistent and persuasive.
