In this role, you will work with world leading experts in the reliability engineering discipline and contribute broadly to the foundations of our flagship product. You’ll work with the latest technologies and interact with internal and external partners. Successful candidates will bring their energy, focus, and collaborative spirit to a small team environment, and break down technical barriers by driving rough requirements through to high quality production services. Responsibilities

• Participate in, or lead design and code reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies and ensure high quality results.

• Write and test product or system development code.

• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.

• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

• Collaborate with partners across organizational boundaries.

• Design and development of software diagnostic tools

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience architecting, developing, and troubleshooting systems

• Experience coding in one or more of the following programming environments and languages: Go (most important), TypeScript/Javascript, Node, Java, Python.

• Familiarity with standard constructs of modern programming: data structures, algorithms, computational complexity.

• Good knowledge of trends, technology advances, new products, and best practices in application build processes and standards.

• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).

• Demonstrated experience and comfort with all phases of the product development lifecycle, including design, implementation, debugging, verification, validation, release, and maintenance.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a distributed team.

• Self-motivated individual with excellent problem solving skills.

• Ability to quickly learn new technology and then implement new techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• We’re a startup, so a high tolerance to ambiguity and an ability to make progress in the face of it.

• Flexibility to handle a variety of tasks.

• Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or implementation fluency with a broad array of CS concepts.

• 2 or more years working in Infrastructure, Platform, or SRE development environments

• Containerized workload development and modern software deployment practices
